Pie Safe relationships

There is without a doubt something to be said about the relationships between Mrs. Hanson and Mr. Albright. Since the story is told from Victor's point of view there is a lot for the reader to interpret and piece together about this topic. In the beginning when Mrs. Hanson pulls up in her nice car, Mr. Albright steps forward but then stops when he realizes who it is. Rather than going to greet the visitor he does an awkward wave with the gun and then becomes embarassed because he is without a shirt. Mrs. Hanson proceeds to give a half wave as they just stand and look at eachother, not knowing how to deal with one another. I think this suggusts that there was some drama previously with their relationship. Whether their relationship was personal or strictly buisness is unclear, and there is evidence that suggusts both. I'd say the previous example stated would be because of a personal relationship that ended badly; however, another piece of the story directly before this scene told us that the Albright family is financially unstable as Mrs. Hanson, wife of a judge, pulled up in a nice car. This suggusts that there may be some insecurity in the relationship because of a social class gap. The reason Mr. Albright and Mrs. Hanson aren't best buds is unclear, but sometimes it makes for a more interesting story if certain aspects are left up for interpretation.
